Global Impact Jam November 9-11 – Challenge number 3 - Decentralized, distributed working methods
How should we develop our working methods to make sure it is possible for competence from all over the world to be part of, and contribute to, NIRA’s business?
The vision is to have teams and individuals all over the world, and at the same time minimize the number of trips. The challenges that NIRA faces is how to get a fully functional business with a decentralized/distributed development.
What will be the challenges and how do we prepare the organization for that kind of change?
Global Impact Jam November 9-11 – Challenge number 2 - Diversifying the recruitment process
The whole world should be our base of recruitment – we want the best talents regardless of where they live today. How do we elevate our recruitment process from being local to global? In which channels and forums should we work to reach our target talents, whom we are currently unable to communicate with?
How can we design our application process to enable the applicants to present their skills, regardless of background, language and gender? What skills and processes are required in our business to make it possible to have the whole world as a recruitment base?
Starting 2019, Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) will become mandatory in China.
As the legislation is well balanced and technology neutral, it allows both indirect and direct TPMS technology. Indirect systems are sensor-less and software-based and the direct systems are hardware sensors measuring the pressure.
Traffic safety and the environment will benefit a lot from the introduction of TPMS. But the environmental effects will also depend on which TPMS technology is being used. If all 25 million cars should be equipped with dTPMS, this means about 10,000 tons of electronic waste – every year.
TPI however, requires no extra sensors. Software does not break, it does not wear and it does not need to be transported or disposed of. This is key on the biggest market in the world and it will allow car manufacturers to be on the forefront of reducing the environmental impact.
NIRA will be exhibiting at SAECCE November 6-8th in Shanghai where we will be displaying TPI. Meet us there!
